Slay of the Day- Bride to Be, Face Prep

All girls dream of the day when they find that significant other to share the rest of their lives with, and of the perfect day in which to ‘seal the deal’. Part of that perfect day involves getting fully pampered and beautified, from getting facials, mani-pedis, waxed, hair-do’s and off course ‘beating’ your face! It’s your wedding day after all, so it’s ok to go all out and splurge a little.

Two most important things to do before your big day is to get enough rest and drink lots of water, this will avoid those tired looking, puffy and red eyes. Applying a hydrating facial mask the night before morning of, can also assist. These can be store bought or DIY.

Simple DIY Avocado Face Mask

Ingredients
·         -1 Avocado
·         -1 tsp vitamin E oil

Method
·        - Cut avocado in half, remove the skin and pit and skin.
·         -Place avocado in a mixing bowl and mash.
·         -Add the vitamin E oil.
·         -Mix well

Apply mask to face and leave on for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat face dry with a towel. This mask moisturize, soothe and revitalize dry and damaged skin, and also acts as an anti-inflammatory that repairs and protects your skin.

If you plan on getting your eyebrows or any other facial hairs waxed its wise and advised to do this a couple days before should Murphy’s Law prevail, and you get burned by the wax. The same advice applies for facials, lash extensions or tans, and always do a patch test to ensure that no allergic reaction occurs. For lash extensions you do not want to have a horror story or trip to the emergency room on your day. Be sure to have them professionally done and as I said test the glue on your skin first, to avoid eye infections or irritation.
