Date Night Makeup
Slay of the Day- Date Night makeup
If you are getting ready for a night on the
town this is where you can pull off a dramatic look. Moving away from the
neutral tones of day time makeup up, night wear is all about shimmery or smokey
eyes to sultry lips, the overall smoldering look. Lash extensions or strips can
be used for added flare as well as bronzed contouring.
The
Basics
Of
course we need to start with the basics of face prepping. Always cleanse before
makeup application to clear the face of dead skin cells, dirt and build up, and
follow with toner, moisturizer and face primer. For those persons with dry skin
try using a toner without alcohol like Clarins Extra Comfort Toning lotion or
Mario Badescu’s Aloe Vera Toner to avoid over drying, tightness or redness of
skin. And as you know this step gives you flawless application of your
foundation.
Foundation to Finish
After
you’ve prepped your other steps are to apply your foundation, concealer and set
with powder. For tips on these steps check out my previous blog on Day Time
makeup.
All about the eyes

As
the saying goes ‘the eyes are the windows to the soul’ and for me night time
looks are all about the eyes. Whether it be shimmery, glittered, smokey, cut
crease or winged, the sky is the limit to this dramatic look, with winged
eyeliner and voluminous lash strips to make your eyes pop! Here are a few sultry
eyes you can try out for date night.

A
smoked out or glittered eyes requires a neutral colour lip, unless it’s the reverse
where you have ‘hello boy’ lips you go with nude tones on your eyes.
Now you’re ready for clubbing with the girls or a dinner date with bae!
